How do payments work?

Hirers pay through the app by card. Money is held in escrow and released to the worker when the hirer confirms the job with the worker's completion PIN. Workers keep 100%; hirers pay a 10% service fee on top of the job price. Volunteer shifts are free.

Is it safe for teens?

Workers under 18 need a parent to approve their account with a family code, and each paid job goes to the parent first. Listings show a neighborhood, not an address, until a hirer accepts a worker. Start and completion PINs confirm both people are where they say. Parents can cap weekly hours, block categories, read messages and revoke access at any time.

What kind of jobs can I post?

Babysitting, pet care, lawn mowing, snow shoveling, tutoring, tech help, party setup, moving help, cleaning, errands — anything a neighbor can pitch in on. Organizations post volunteer shifts at hospitals, shelters, food banks, libraries, schools, parks, senior centers and faith groups.

Do volunteer hours count for school?

Yes. Hours are entered by the organization that ran the shift and stamped with its verification status. Teens print the record from the app.

Where is Volanee available?

All over the United States.

What's the minimum age to work?

13 with a parent's approval; 18 to hire. Some categories have a higher floor. We follow COPPA and California child labor rules — no jobs over 4 hours, no work past 8 PM on school nights, and parents see every job before it's accepted.
